Westonbirt Association was founded to enable alumnae to keep in touch with each other and with Westonbirt School.
Today, as well as helping members to keep in touch with each other, the Association and School continue to build strong links with former pupils and encourage their involvement in School life through a programme of events and activities. Members can support the School in a variety of practical ways, for example, by taking part in the Schools ‘Inspiring Women’ days, by mentoring current pupils, or perhaps by returning to School to talk about careers and work experience.
In addition, the Association oversees a Memorial Bursary fund set up in memory of five Westonbirt girls who lost their lives in the Second World War. Currently awards are made annually to girls entering the Sixth Form.
From Summer 2015, all leavers will automatically become members of the Association and will be welcomed officially as new members at a special leavers’ lunch each summer term hosted by current members. If you have already left Westonbirt and did not become a member, you can still join.
- members will be mailed several times a year (by post or email) with advance notification of Association events such as the annual AGM and Reunion Day, or the new annual Carol Service in London
- you will be invited to send in your news for the Association News
- your membership information will be entered on the Association database kept by the School and subject to the terms of the Data Protection Act
- news of Association and School events are posted on the website
