Twenty primary and prep schools and over four hundred and fifty children competed in the inter-schools cross country race at Westonbirt School on 22nd February 2017. Despite windy conditions, there was some great racing and a fabulous atmosphere as the children from Year 3 to Year 6 ran through the school’s beautiful parklands. Westonbirt Head Mrs Natasha Dangerfield said of the event:“We were thrilled to host another amazing cross country event this year.  Despite the blustery conditions the runners participated with enthusiasm and great sporting spirit.  We were delighted to welcome hundreds of pupils from prep and primary schools across the region to enjoy our beautiful school grounds.”

The schools taking part were: Ann Edwards Primary School, Hatherop Castle, Heywood Prep, Kemble Primary School, King Edwards School Bath, Kingswood Prep School, Leighterton Primary School, Luckington School, Marshfield Primary School, Monkton Combe Prep, Red Maids in Bristol, Rendcomb College, Royal High School Bath, Silverhill School, Sherston Primary School, St Margaret’s Prep, The Paragon School, Tockington Manor, Trinity Primary and Westonbirt School.
