Westonbirt International Summer School is recruiting its team for 2019. We invite you to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team to help us deliver a first-rate experience to our students.
Become part of a happy, motivated team made up of individuals who are truly interested in developing and supporting students aged 11-18. The summer school delivers education and enjoyment in equal measure for both staff and students. We seek team members who will respond positively to the ambitious atmosphere of our summer school with its diverse, international community of staff and students. It is a fast-moving, intense and vibrant environment where the team rapidly becomes a dynamic and close-knit unit.
The work is intense but fun and is based at a great location with high-quality leisure facilities. The team quickly bonds together over shared interests and the challenge and satisfaction of working with an engaged and vibrant student body.
The team is divided into pastoral and activity, academic, and operational based responsibilities. Applications are invited for all areas. Every member of staff is expected to help students develop their language and communications skills, either in the classroom, through day to day activities, at social events and via trips or excursions. The entire team is responsible for safeguarding and welfare of students.
The Westonbirt summer school team is also responsible for:
As free food and accommodation is provided, the days start with breakfast and team meetings. Lessons take place in the mornings, activities and clubs in the afternoon and on-campus activities and homework in the evening. Three excursions a week around southern England ensure plenty of opportunities for exploring! Rotas ensure all staff have time to socialise, relax and explore the local leisure opportunities.
Old Westonbirtians will be particularly welcome to join the summer school and share their enthusiasm for the school with a new audience. Additionally, we welcome applications from individuals who have recent experience at a boarding school. The experience will contribute to your CV and provide relevant experience for a further career in education.
Applications for the academic posts should have the relevant TEFL qualifications or suitable subject related qualifications and experience. We are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working individuals with the appropriate stamina to handle full days and six-day weeks. You need to be committed to upholding professional standards of safeguarding, education and welfare.
